A little bit about myself

What is a Fulbright?

The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) administers the Program under policy guidelines established by the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FFSB) in close coordination with U.S. embassies in more than 100 other countries, and cooperating agencies in the United States.

I won an ETA award. The English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Programs place Fulbrighters in classrooms abroad to provide assistance to the local English teachers. ETAs help teach English language while serving as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. The age and academic level of the students varies by country, ranging from kindergarten to university level. I work at the secondary level.

Where the heck is Rwanda?

It's the red dot on the world map above. Yes, I promise it's there.

Also known as 'The Land of a Thousand Hills', Rwanda has five volcanoes, 23 lakes and numerous rivers, some forming the source of the River Nile. It is landlocked country in East Africa of 13.5 million people. it is roughly the same geographical size as the state of Maryland, except with twice as many people.
